What if my baptismal certificate is not an original copy, can I pass?

Where I live, Ontario, Canada , the government doesnt care about religious documents for a marriage license. Your church might if you wanted to hold the ceremony in the church. The government dont want baptismal records - they want your civil birth REGISTRATION and yes, they want a proper, original copy. Usually you can obtain replacements from the government if you have lost it. Here you can get a wallet card or what they call the long form, which is the big one with all the details your parents legally had to give at the time of your birth. Its commonly a form that gets filled out in hospital and submitted, or for a home birth, the form has to be taken to a government office.
